I've been running one of my cars on a temporary operating permit and 1971 tags continually from July of 2007 through January of 2009 while I tried to convince DMV to reassign the plate that was on it in 1969. The debacle started when the state misplaced, then lost my transfer documents (the original title). I made so many trips, I had to create a color coded flow chart of the visits and transactions so DMV could follow the story. Finally on December 31st, 2008 victory was mine when I received my tags. |
